16 Days and Counting...

*Liam at 8 weeks*

I can not believe my pressious son is going to be one year old already. So many times in this past year I have heard people say, "Ohhh they grow so fast, my child is already ___ years old, and it seems like yesterday he/she was just born". I swear, every mother has said this AT LEAST 50 times to someone else. Every time I hear someone say that I think to myself, my goodness- again??? But- My GOODNESS, now I am that Mom. I am the one saying, "ohhh they grow so fast"...

So, this got me thinking- 16 days?????????????? Oh no. I havent even got birthday invitations sent out. I havent even started thinking about what I am going to do for him other then bake a darn dairy/egg free cake (by the way- I still havent figured out how to make it). So, what do I do for a one year old? Is having a party really for him or for his Dad and I? Big party or small party? It is such a complicated decision to make on behalf of a one year old.

Big party or small party? Food or just cake? I need answers to these questions- can you help???? Any ideas for a party would be VERY much appreciated.

  1. In my opinion 1st birthdays are special,so I think you should have a party. You have to have the pictures of him eating his egg/dairy cake smeared all over his face:) Even though he may not remember, it is a celebration of your precious baby born one year ago, celebrating his precious life and all the blessings he has brought. But if you do a small party, make sure you invite me :) And I can bring something if you like!
