Seven Wonders of the World

The seven wonders of the world is a list of man made structures built during the classic era. Scholars believe that ancient historians began compiling the list in the second century B.C. and included places like the Great Pyramid in Egypt, Gardens of Babylon in Iraq, Temple of Artemis, the Lighthouse of Alexandria and the Tomb of Mausollos in Turkey, Statue of Zeus & the Colluses at Rhodes in Greece.

About six months ago I made it a goal in life to see the seven wonders of the world. But then I started to do research on what exactly the seven wonders were. Then I came across an article on the Travel Channel that says in 2007 100 million people voted on the NEW seven wonders of the world. They are the Great Wall of China, Christ the Redeemer Statue in Brazil, Machu Picchu in Peru, Chichen Itza in Mexico, the Roman Collosseum in Italy, Taj Mahal in India, and Petra in Jordan. So needless to say, I have changed my goal in life to the NEW seven wonders of the world.

Recently, traveling has become a hobby of mine. I would love to travel the world someday. I have never been to another country other then Mexico and I would love to go see the world. So, someday, when it rains money I will travel the seven wonders! China, Brazil, Peru, Mexico, Italy, India and Jordan- HERE I COME!

by the way- I still do not have a spell check button on my blogger... it drives me crazy.
