Prayer Request

If you read this blog- I am asking for a prayer request today at 12:30 CST. This little boy Declan is beginning his first treatment of radiation on the brain. He is 8 months old. Please pray for him today at 12:30 CST (whatever time that is in your local time zone). Here is what to pray for:
1. His ultimate healing
2. All 30 radiation treatments go smoothly and he has no harsh side effects.
3. The treatments work
4. That is mother finds peace in all of this.

With faith the size of a mustard seed, we can move mountains!

Water

My son loves (and I mean LOVES) the water. You give him any sort of water and he is a very happy baby. This includes the dogs water bowl which I am always trying to keep him out of. Now that he is walking he finds water in the strangest of places. But hey- can I blame the kid? I have always loved water since I was a baby myself. I love to swim, I love to take baths, I just love to be in the water (however, I do not play in the dogs water bowl).

Donovan and I began thinking about how we could expose our son to more water. Since we have a very small back yard, no pool, and no public pool around we began to think- what if we enroll him in swimming lessons with the City? So I did. I went last Friday and enrolled him. He starts in July and it is a parent/tot class! It is going to be so much fun, I cant wait.

He takes after me when it comes to loving the water and it is great, because it keeps him happy!

(Look at his CUTE shorts and hat! Special thanks to Auntie Christel for the shorts and Grandma Gail for the hat)

p.s. I am playing mud volleyball this weekend- don't tell my son or else he will want to come and get wet.

Being Sick

Usually... I am the one ALWAYS sick. I get sick for everything. I have the weakest immune system on the planet. Not this time though. It started with Brianna and then it traveled to her husband Cory. Then it traveled to Donovan. Now it has traveled to Liam. I had to leave work today at 1 and go get him from the baby-sitter's. He didn't act sick all afternoon. The only way I knew he was sick was because he has a temperature of 102 and when he coughs he sounds like he is going to hack up a lung. And this happened...

You know you have a sick baby when he falls asleep in the middle of the living room floor, right in the middle of playing and dancing. Oh yeah- and it was bright and the TV was blaring. My son does not sleep with the light on and it has to be REALLY quite. Poor baby.

Don't worry Bri- its not your fault- so don't even think about apologizing.

Keep knocking on wood that I don't get it!
